Jovan Johnson is a final year M.Sc. student in the agricultural entrepreneurship program at the University of the West Indies. He also serves as technical director for the Taylor Hall Aquaponic Project, an initiative aimed at introducing aquaponics to Jamaica.
Jovan has received training from the University of the Virgin Islands, the world leader in aquaponic research, and recently visited the institution to participate in its annual workshops on commercial aquaponic production. His new objective is to expand the aquaponic project into an urban farming initiative aimed at exposing students to commercial and sustainable agriculture practices.
