O’Brian Clarke is the co-founder and served as operations supervisor of the Taylor Hall Aquaponics Project at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona. The project grew out of entrepreneurship class in 2011, when several students decided that they wanted to apply practicality to the idea.
Mr. Clarke has a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from UWI Mona and is currently pursuing graduate studies in the field of occupational and environmental safety and health.
A native of Montego Bay, he has been actively involved in philanthropy and youth leadership. His efforts were rewarded with the Governor General’s Youth Award in 2009, in recognition of significant youth leadership, and Achievement of Excellence was conferred on him by the Parish of St. James in 2009. Perpetual passion for nation building and the need to overcome challenges fuels his drive to make society a better place for all mankind.
